A DoD Minerva Research Initiative Project
Andrzej Nowak is the Director of the Center for Complex Systems and a Professor of Psychology at the University of Warsaw. He also holds faculty positions at the Professional School of Social Psychology in Warsaw and Florida Atlantic University. Nowak is one of the world’s leading experts on the modeling and computer simulation of social processes. Using cellular automata, he has modeled the emergence of public opinion in society and linear versus non-linear societal transitions. He has authored or co-authored 12 books, numerous book chapters, and has been published in such journals as the Journal of Peace Psychology, American Psychologist, Conflict Resolution Quarterly, Psychological Review, and Personality and Social Psychology Review.
